The idea for Deck Restore+ began with a personal challenge. Ben’s family had a once-beautiful deck that turned green, slippery, and became little more than a walkway. Restoration quotes were vague, overpriced, and offered no real explanation of the process.
Determined to revive the deck, Ben researched the best techniques, tackled the job himself, and was amazed by the results. He soon realized other homeowners needed a reliable, fairly priced expert to assess, restore, and protect their wood surfaces. That realization drove him to found Deck Restore+—a service built on knowledge, integrity, and real transformation
What started as a small neighborhood service in Burlington in 2020 quickly grew into something bigger. In 2021, the first employee was hired, and in 2022, Deck Restore+ received its first grant through the Halton Small Business Centre’s Summer Company program. By 2024, the company had been recognized again—this time by the St. Catharines Enterprise Centre’s Starter Company Plus Program, reinforcing its reputation as a trusted leader in wood restoration.

Ben has always had a hands-on approach to work. His background includes years of experience in physically demanding, detail-oriented jobs—skills that translated perfectly into the world of deck and fence restoration. But what sets him apart is his passion for problem-solving.
