Field Sanding
Commercial orbital or belt sander covers the deck field, removing raised grain, old product residue, and weathered fibres from board to board.
Edge & Detail Sanding
Hand-sanding on railings, balusters, post faces, and stair stringers. Every surface the eye touches gets the same treatment as the field.
Grit Sequence
We progress through coarse, medium, and fine grits to open the grain without over-sanding. The final grit is matched to the stain product being applied.
Blow-Down & Tack
The deck is blown clean and tack-wiped before stain goes down. Dust trapped under finish is a leading cause of adhesion failure.
